Jaguars!

Had a double-header with the Jaguar girls last night... we broke even. Lost the first one 7-5 and we won the second one 7-1. I'm proud of the girls though. We had a new pitcher we've never worked with before, Nicole, and she did great. Another double-header next weekend...

500 Strikeouts

On Saturday October 4th I pitched my 500th strike out of my high school career. So in average that puts me at 125 strike-outs a year. This year I am currently at 108 strike outs for the year. We will be heading into districts on October 9th at Ralston. Our first round we play Gretna at 2p.m. on Thursday we've played them prevoiusly and lost 5-4 so the team is feeling alot of revenge. Fall Season

Fall season is definatly different this year. Our new head coach is also a football coach so we usually have to start practice without him. We only have 4 seniors this year and 6 returners total. So Open field is a big deal to us. I get if you play another sport if you can't come but you girls who think you're gonna make it and don't do anything else and don't show up to practice, you'll have a rude awakening this year. Avengers Gold Versus Avengers Gold - Sunday Oct 5

The two Avengers Gold teams are facing off against each other for the first time this fall. Both are coming off successful work in the North Richland Hills Fall Classic last week. The Segal team finished 5th while the Sonny team had big wins over the 2nd place Texas Rapid Fire Gold and Fort Worth Batbusters Gold - Card. The win over Card knocked them out of the single elimination bracket.

Successful Outing For Avengers

The team won 2 out of the five pools games this weekend. We had numerous successes on both Saturday and Sunday, led by the wins of Texas Rapid Fire Gold and Fort Worth Batbusters Gold - Card. Whitney Porter and I picked up these wins. Samantha lost 1-0 to Texas Stix 18 out of central Texas. The run was unearned. We now turn our attention to the College Look season starting with the Glory Miken Showcase on Oct 11 in McKnney. Look for the Avenger and me #23
