Going to college is an experience and the ultimate experience is being a student-athlete.
At the College of Santa Fe you will be a student first and athlete second. You will be able to do more than just play tennis. You will get involved on campus, politics, non-profit organizations, and dorm life.
With tennis, you will have a team. You will be starting a new era of tennis. You will be a part of something that is bigger than just hitting a couple of tennis balls. You will create the traditions, the huddles, the magic. You will start a legacy.
Here your brains and athleticism will count. Your entire being will be required to go to the College of Santa Fe and play Santa Fe Tennis.
Santa Fe Tennis needs people who are ready to step up, take control, and do what it takes to succeed as a team.
Coming to the College of Santa Fe is entering a new family where you will learn more about yourself, your game, and your passions.
Santa Fe Tennis is where a new legacy will begin!
Please call Coach Yolanda Duron at 505-473-6288 if you are interested being a part of the legacy. |

Playing college tennis for the College of Santa Fe is a challenge.
You don't do this to stay healthy. You do this because you feel it in your blood. You need to play. You need your teammates. You crave the challenge.
The College of Santa Fe tennis program is about teamwork.
Hitting tennis balls while everyone is lounging around in their dorms. Doing weight workouts with your team while others are sleeping. Choosing to be up early so you can practice with your team. Hitting 100 plus serves because your team needs you for the next match.
Studying in the van on the way home. Stretching in a circle before the start of every practice. Practicing doubles signals while people are planning their Thursday nights. Chasing down that dropshot because your partner needs you. Hitting reflex volleys over and over. Hitting serves to the body so your partner can poach. Hitting crosscourt forehands, backhands until someone else misses. Practicing I-formation with your partner. Punishing the short ball. Being so consistent for your team.
Going to bed early on a Friday night because you matter to the team. Sitting in the van visualizing how well you are going to play for your team. Eating Subway for the umpteenth time because you are ready to battle for your team. Having bruises from tennis balls because your team challenges you.
Doing the agility ladder while your coach watches. Knowing that your coach believes in you no matter the score or day. Jump-roping 1000 times before practice. Knowing that your footwork is better than anyone you play.
Huddling up after every practice. Huddling up before the start of every match. Huddling up at the end of every match. Having a team that is going to push you to victory.
Training to be your best For your team Your coach Your pride You are the College of Santa Fe.
This is why you should play for the College of Santa Fe.
