| Just got back from the last game of the season against Loch Raven. We won 18-7. We played a beautiful game, and Loch Raven did good as well. The day before I found out I got all-division honorable mention. Then I went home and checked my email, and I got one of the best emails of my life. The email told me that I AM INVITED TO THE FOOTBALL UNIVERSITY CAMP, One of best, if not the best football camps in the nation, its where all the great high school prospects go. I'm excited. Had a great season, finished the season with 24 pancakes and 1 sack allowes, I'm hoping to do even better next year. |

Yesterday against Harford Tech WE WON!!!!!!!! The final score 46-14. This game really showed Baltimore county that we are not a team to be taken lightly. This was my varsity debut in a real game. We had only played in scrimmages in the first few weeks of summer practices, but this was really a game. It felt good to hear the announcer say my name as one of the captains. Well overall this was a great game for everyone on my team. I started and played the whole game at center. I got 5 pancakes and no sacks allowed. I had brought the animal back out and layed some people out on offense with some great blocks. My teammates did phenominal too. my teammate Kane Parson tied the school touchdown record for touchdowns in a game which is held by Ravens starting conerback Domonique Foxworth. Kane had 3 rushing touchdowns, a two point converstion, and a kickoff return for a touchdown. Other people who scored were Carlton Harris with a 40 yard touchdown run, Robert Tillman with a fumble recoveriy in the in-zone, Cito scott with a 25 yard rushing touchdown, and I believe Robert also had 2 point conversition. Our offensive line did a phenominal job the entire game. Our Defense was incredible. These people led the defense the entire game, Defensive-end Trey Waller who had at least 8 tackles and a sack, middle Linebacker Montez Johnson who was everywhere the ball was every play, right outside linebacker Robert Tillman who had some bone-crushing hits, left outside linebacker Khari Lee who had some great tackle on numerous occasions, Defensive-end Ryan Mccoulough who had the quarter back and running-back shivering by his ability to find them that game, defensive Steve carr who had a sack or two and a bunch of tackles, defensive tackle Jorge Brown who making some great tackles on the running back, defensive tackle Josh Chase who continuously chasede down the running before he could get any yards, back-up defensive tackles Michael anibaba and Jeffery Page who had 3 tackles each, and Our phenominal defensive backs and safeties Kiante Brantly, Javon Jagroop, Anthony Holland, Ricky Racks, JP Wiley, and Kane Parson who shut down all of Harford Tech's recievers to the point that the quarter back only completed about 2 passes. You can't forget about our quarterbacks either, Jt Andresky and Ricy Racks who didnt do that well in the passing game, but picked up the Slack in the running game, both quarterbacks had at least 50 yards rushing. Punt returner Javon Jagroop set the tone for the game with a phenominal 50 yard punt return. We had a phenominal game and this is just the beginning, Baltimore County better watch out because there might be a new powerhouse in the leauge.
Look out for next blog. As of for now all I have to say is... GO WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!! |

Every since football tryouts my conditioning has been horrible. My breathing has been terrible and its starting to effect my play, I mean i'm still starting, but I'm not playing as good as I wanted to this year so far. I'm just not the same, aggressive Rodney I usually am, but I can tell you this now, the Rodney that started off this season dying of fatigue after conditioning and doing some work is gone and isn't ever coming back. The old Rodney is back and is going to be destroying every player who opposes him from now on and i'm starting that off with Catonsville's varsity football team tommorow at the scrimmage. Its time to start playing wolverine! Its time to bring the pain!
Stay tuned for my next blog. GO WOLVERINES!!!!! |

| Yesterday/saturday was our first day of practice/tryouts. It was a three-a-day. It was pretty fun, our team looks like we could be really good this year. A whole lot of our players have improved a lot since last season. It was an offensive day. I had a really good day of practice, but I need to work on my cardio some more so that I won't be so tired after conditioning. Overall though, it was just a very good day of football. I'm expecting a really great season this year from me and a lot of other people, so stay tuned for my next blog to keep you updated about our season. GO WOLVERINES!!!!! |

On May 29th, 2009 I participated in the Departolo sports university Friday night lights skills challenge. These are my stats: forty yard dash:6.22 sec 3 cone:8.99 5-10-5 shuttle:5.21 sec Broad jump:6ft3in standing powerball toss:8 yards(120 yards)
I have improved a whole lot since the nike combine in march in Maryland, But there is still a lot I need to improve in, so I'm gonna work a whole lot harder so I can get way better. |

So I had participated in the 2009 nike football combine in Maryland because my coach had said I should, I had had my doubts at first whether I should participate or note cuz I'm only a sophmore, but I'm glad I decided to go. I was a learning experience. Now I know that I need to improve a lot. Here are my stats and the reason I have to improve.
Forty yard dash-6.65(need a lot ofimprovement) Short shuttle-5.31(need a lot of improvement) Powerball toss-25 feet(need a lot of improvement) Vertical jump-17.2 inches(need a lot of improvement) Bench press(185 pounds)-12 reps(need a lot of improvement) Sparq rating-20.07(Needs a whole lot of improvement)
As you can see I need a lot of improvement, so I wiil be spending as much time as I can(without interfering with my school work and social life) so that when I participate again junior. My goal is too get the best sparq rating I can possibly get. |
