October 10, and 11 I was in St. Augustine, Florida/ Jacksonville, Florida for the Triple Crown Fall Nationals tournament with my travel team the Tallahassee Mustangs.

Our team lost our opening game to the defending champion Florida Hardballers from Gainesville, Florida 7-6.  In that game I was 1-3 with a 2 RBI single.  Our second game of the double header we defeated Renegades Baseball from West Palm Beach, Floida 4-2 and I was 0-2 with a HBP, and an RBI.

On Sunday we played the Jacksonville Force and we lost 3-1.  In that game I was 0-2 with a walk and I came into pitch out of relief. I felt real good and I threw plenty of strikes. My final line was:

3 2/3 innings
0 runs
0 earned runs
3 hits
0 BB's
0 K's
1 HBP
35 pitches

I played every out of the tournament either at first base or on the mound.  The tournament was a wood bat tournament.

June 26-28

I pitched the opening game for my team in this years Jacksonville Summer Slam as my team played the Pedro Menendez High School Falcons from St. Augustine, Florida.  We played in the Varsity division with 13 other 18U teams.  In the game I felt decent and my defense killed us in the fourth inning.
3.1 innings
3 hits
3 walks
1 K
0 earned runs
4 runs
55 pitches

I recorded the first out of the inning and then 3 consecutive errors by the middle infield allowed one run to score and I was pulled with the bases loaded.  My reliever allowed all 3 baserunners to score but all the runs were unearned. We won the game 15-8. I was also 1-1 at the plate in the game with a single.

We then went on to win the tournament as we defeated the Bartram High School team from Jacksonville, Florida and the Jacksonville Ghosts to win the championship. In the championship I was 1-2 with a fielder's choice, a single, and a stolen base. I finished the tournament 2-4 with two singles.

June 12-14, 2009

I pitched the opening game of the tournament against the Bradenton Falcons and I felt really good all game.  I came out in the top of seven to go for the complete game and the lead-off that inning went to a full count and then singled up the middle.  I was then pulled and a reliever came in and picked my runner off first.  My final line for the game was:
6+ innings
4 hits
0 runs
0 earned runs
1 hit by pitch
0 BB
6K's
66 pitches

The game ended in a 0-0 tie after 7 complete innings.  We then went on the the championship game which we lost to the Tampa Bay Raiders and we won second place.
