Kauffman also had six digs and four aces for the Irish. Eileen Venedam led the defense by saving 15 digs. Brittany Hicks posted a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Brooke McNamara added 11 digs and five kills.

Mariah Smith smacked 11 kills and had five assists for Kennard-Dale. Devon O'Kane stuffed eight blocks and Sam Pierce added seven assists.

--- Kennard-Dale 3, Littlestown 0: Devon O'Kane and Margaret Nersten sparked the Rams defense in a 25-12, 25-21, 25-21 win against the visiting Bolts. O'Kane had nine blocks, while Nersten had a game-high 16 digs.

Jess Brown topped the Kennard-Dale offensive output with nine kills. For Littlestown, Abby Musselman had a game-high 16 assists, and Alyssa Reichart had six kills and six digs.

Kennard-Dale earns road victory at Eastern York

Her Golden Knights led visiting Kennard-Dale after three games of Thursday's best-of-five YAIAA match.

But then Eastern collapsed in the final two games, and it was the Rams who picked up the 25-19, 22-25, 18-25, 25-9, 15-9 Division II victory.

"I've never seen any of them as wild and as off-target," Thompson said of her team's performance down the stretch.

A long night

Both teams had their respective chances to end the contest before it had to go the limit.

Eastern York held a five-point lead midway through Game 1, before a 7-2 run put Kennard-Dale back in control of the game. The Rams held on for the win.

In Game 3, the Rams battled back from an early four-point hole to take a lead as late as 13-11, only to see the Knights go on a 10-2 run to take a commanding advantage and eventually win the game.

Turning point

After dropping Game 3, the Rams came out with a vengeance for Game 4, converting that games first 12 points. Sam Pierce set the pace for Kennard-Dale (5-1 Division II, 6-3), converting 13 straight service-line tries.

The Rams led by as many as 15 points in that game and took that momentum into the decisive fifth game, where they led by as many as eight points in a 15-9 win.
