| Last night we held our banquet for the varsity lacrosse team at Mission Viejo High School. In the past I've been fortunate enough to be named Defensive MVP in every year that I've played. This year I was really honored to be named overall TEAM MVP. It was really a surprise for me, but it was a great night, personally. I also got awarded for another year as a Student Scholar (it's a nice patch)... |

| I Got Selected First Team All South Coast League Again! |

We just found out that I was selected for the First Team All League again for the 2008 Season. I was blown away and humbled by the chance to be selected by opposing coaches for this honor. I also found out that they selected me unanimously (I got the maximum number of possible votes). That made the selection even more meaningful to me. It's my second year on the First Team. |

My dad is a computer guy and he decided to launch this website as a place to post videos, pictures and other stuff that coaches might be interested in as I get ready to go off to college. At first I was kind of hesitant because I thought it was over the top. But my dad has a server and a template that made it really easy and it's a great way to send the materials that coaches typically ask for. This whole project started when we discovered this site and I started to build my own page over here. This just seemed like it was a little bit easier to operate and control our own site! Hope you enjoy it!

| I Received An Academic Award |

I found out a couple of weeks ago that I had been nominated for a Diablo Excellence Certificate in the Mathematics Department at Mission Viejo High School. Well, tonight (April 22nd) I found out that I received both the Certificate and the Departmental Medallion for Mathematics. Woo Hoo! Here's what they wrote and said at the ceremony:
"David is a junior in IB Mathematics, an honors course attended predominately by seniors and aimed at preparation for the IB Mathematics examination. Of the nearly 100 students enrolled in IB Mathematics in semester 1, David ranked fourth, behind three outstanding seniors. David currently has a grade of A+ in semester 2 in IB Math. David has played football for two years at MVHS, and currently is on the Varsity Track and Lacrosse Team, in addition to the challenging academic program that he follows."

My dad completed a short game video (about 4 1/2 minutes) that shows a number of consecutive defensive plays on the entire defensive side of the field. Anyone interested can email me and I'll give you a link that will allow you to watch the video online or save it for later...

My Dad finished a short promo video and we posted it yesterday. We know that most coaches want more than just two minutes of highlights, so we are working on a 5 minute game video with just consecutive plays. 5 minutes is the longest that this site will allow. We'll also have complete game videos available soon!

In an article dated October 31st, 2007, West Side Lacrosse predicted that the Mission Viejo Lacrosse Team would finish first in their league and they mentioned met:

2007 Record: 8-6
Three Players To Watch: Hudson Parker (Attack), David Wallace (Defenseman), Greg Sherman (Goalie)
The Skinny: The Diablos bring back six starters scattered throughout the lineup, and head coach Bryan Thompson is confident that his junior class can bring the school success for the next two seasons.
Mission Viejo has two attackmen, one first-line middie, two defensemen and last year's starting goalie all coming back.
"I think we're going to be a better team this year," Thompson said. "These guys have been playing together for a couple years now, and they're all juniors this year. I'm very optimistic about this year's team. I don't think we'll have much of a drop off, despite graduating some very strong seniors off last year's team."
Mission Viejo will be led by junior attackman Hudson Parker, junior defenseman David Wallace and junior goalie Greg Sherman.
Thompson described Parker as a strong finisher who can also send a good feed when necessary. Wallace is a strong ball handler who always takes on the other team's top offensive threat, and Sherman sees the ball well and has developed his field awareness.
"The team goals are to continue to get better, improve our team concepts and, most importantly, to win the first South Coast League title," Thompson said.
