 | Football Practice Has Begun! |

We started fall practice this week and things are going well. We began on Aug 20th with a two day team camp out in mountains/wilderness at a place called Camp Cispus (near White Pass, WA). Not only did we practice; we also went on a 3 hour hike, participated in "Jag Olympics", and did team building activities. We have our annual green/white scrimmage at Emerald Ridge High School on Aug 29th and our first game is on Sep 5th against Decatur High School at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup. We practiced at Sparks Stadium yesterday and it was so much nicer now that we have the new field turf. I might add another entry after the scrimmage, but if not, I'll definitely add another one after our first game!

I'll be going to Oregon State University with my high school team at the end of this week for team camp. We will be practicing at Reiser stadium and surrounding practice fields in Corvallis, OR (home of the Beavers) Jun 20-23, 2008. I might even post a picture of me in a mohawk once I return...yeah, it seems to be a "ritual" now every year that a few of us get snipped by the clippers when we go to team camp...even our coach!

Yesterday, I attended the Nike Training Camp at the University of Oregon and had a great time competing amongst some of the best athletes in the nation. The coaches were great and Nike put on a first class camp. Thank you Student Sports for the invite and I appreciate this opportunity. Coaches & Recruiters,
I will be attending the Barton Football Marketing Camp this Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. I am scheduled to participate in camp #3 which starts at 2:00 pm. This event will have about 100 college coaches attending; all divisions will be there except D-1 due to new NCAA regulations. I am looking forward to this showcase and I hope that some of you will have an opportunity to see my live performance. If not, I will be posting video of this event on my video page...stay tuned. |

| Apr 27th, 2008 - I had another nice day at the Football University Camp that took place in Seattle, WA. Andre Rison compared me to Ed McCaffery today and that was a nice complement. Andre said that I run great routes; he told me to keep working hard as this will pay big dividends in the upcoming season and at the next level. After the conclusion of the camp, he asked me for my phone number and of course I gave it to him. I don't know if anything will ever come of it, but it sure felt good to have a former Pro Bowl MVP see something in me. I'm working on a highlight video from the camp and will post it to this site, but I have about 20 minutes of unedited raw footage if any college coach requests a copy to review. It includes all the good stuff and my miscues. |

Had a great day today at Football University (FBU) camp in Seattle, WA. Andre Rison was our position coach who helped us with enhancing our techniques as wide receivers. FBU is one of the better skill position camps I have attended and I am looking forward to tomorrow's session. I have uploaded some pictures from the camp and will add video in the near future -- stay tuned. |
