Babylon - Softball

Highlights: Babylon 11, Bayport-Blue Point 3: Tiana Giuliano pitched a complete game, striking out nine and allowing five hits, one earned run and no walks for No. 2 Babylon (17-3) in the Suffolk Class B semifinals. Carissa Drossos went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and four runs. Christine Desiderio went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Babylon plays the winner of Hampton Bays/ Mattituck on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Highlights: Babylon 12, Southampton 0: Tiana Giulano pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks in five innings for Babylon (12-2) in League VII. Amanda McKay, Carissa Drossos and Christine Desiderio had three hits apiece.

Babylon - Softball

Highlights: Babylon 10, Mt. Sinai 7: Carissa Drossos' two-out single in the bottom of the fourth drove in Christine Desiderio and Dana Smith to give Babylon a, 6-5, lead in League VII. This is the first loss this season for Mt. Sinai (15-1). Lyndsay Kelly's two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth extended the lead to 8-5. Christina Marconi hit a pinch-hit double to drive in two for Mt. Sinai and cut the lead to one. Brittany Fowler hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth put the game away for Babylon (12-2).

She was an error away from recording a perfect game. Christine Desiderio went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored and Carissa Drossos added three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Bayport fell to 2-2.
