A blog by Christina Bean | | | For the past year I had a personal goal of being on the AZ Outlaws. After a lot of hard work and refining my screw ball, it was time. At try outs the head Coach Mario, asked me if I was nervous? I told him Yes, and I didn't think that I would nail my pitches. He asked me what I was going to throw and I said a screw ball. He said, go ahead and throw it. So, I threw.. and, I nailed it. He asked me my name & shook my hand. I made the TEAM! | |

To Coaches/Recruiters
When Chrissy asked me to write a letter of reference I knew that it would be an easy task as I have known her and her family for most of a decade.
As President of a Little League Softball program for many years I met Chrissy at the field. This should not be a surprise to anyone who knew her as she lived at the field and just merely slept across the street where her house was, a gym rat at the softball field if you will.
Chrissy has played on two of my teams, 10u club as well as this past season in a 17u double header league.
Chrissy is coachable, dependable, consummate teammate and a fierce competitor. Her memory is short with any failures as she learns from those and moves forward.
In closing, Chrissy Bean’s desire to compete on the field has molded her into a leader by example.

Come watch me pitch and play for the Arizona 16U Outlaws. My game times and fields have been posted for the Surf City Turkey Tournament. My schedule is as follows: Arizona 16U Outlaws games are scheduled on FIELD 3 at Noble Creek Park (38900 Oak Valley Pkwy) in Beaumont, CA., as follows:
Saturday- FIELD 3: 9:45 AM, 11:30AM & 3:00PM
Sunday- FIELD 3: 8:00AM & 11:00AM
I will also be playing up with the Arizona Outlaws 18 GOLD TEAM! I am so excited! I hope you can come and watch at 32665 Haddock Street Winchester, CA., as follows:
Saturday- FIELD 3 at 3:00 PM

DAY ONE: My AZ Outlaws 16U Team started out rough with lots of errors. With focus, drive and determination for a VICTORY we came up with a good win by the end of the night (9-4). I am back on my bats and hitting good:0)
DAY TWO: We came out like a rocket! Wanting nothing but a WINS. My team started up in August 2009 and we are really starting to gel together. I'm getting excited and feel like a locomotive without brakes!
Tournament ended with 2 for 3.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say I had a blast helping out the City of Phoenix with Boo Night in Phoenix, Arizona. The people and kids were a lot of fun. My team and I worked all the game tables. One of the tables was Basketball and I had this little tiny boy about 3 years old trying to make a basket in the tall hoop. I told him if he makes it I will give him the big prize. So his dad lifted him up and he made the basket! What a blast everyone had...Thanks for letting me and my team help out!

I started lifting weights this year (sophmore) consistently three days a week. My goal was to 165 for squats and yesterday I did 175 already exceeding my goal! Right now I'm bench pressing 65 and it has made my pitches about 3-5 mph faster!! Today (10/17/09) I'm playing to scrimmage games in Phoenix AZ! Out to the fields I go....
Three years of this and my Senior year I will be the BEAST!

| I spend so much time with school, home work, lifting weights, pitching instruction, practices, batting and tournaments that I decided it was time to share my love of this sport with others. I am volunteering one night a week to work with Speical Needs kids for the Special Olympic Softball program in Arizona. It is really rewarding and I am enjoying it a lot. The kids make me laugh. Last week one of the players had the bat and said do I hit it hard, I said, Yes, hit it real hard. He hit the ball like a BEAST! It was great to see the look on his face with excitement!!! |
