Cassville Wildcats advanced to the semi-finals

Defending our 2008 state championship, Cassville Wildcats took on Logan-Rogersville, L-R with a record of 11-1 and a #1 state ranking. the triumph would come in its nine minutes final scoring drive, and the defensive stand in the next 1-½ minutes to win the game 21-20.

Taking on the top ranked team in class 3 was a test of true athletes and a back and forth battle to see who would advance to the semifinal round. I knew that I would need to play the game of my high school career, go hard or go home. This was the most emotional game to date that we had ever played, in the end Cassville would advance with a 2009 record 12-1.

One more game to prepare for, if we can get past Saturday with a victory it will be on to the state championship for only the second time in school history in so many years.

To all my teammates (lets keep working hard and make good decisions this week)

To all our football coaches (we can’t thank you enough for the countless hours you have spent preparing us for success)

To all Wildcat fans (you ROCK when we Roll).

#80 T.H.

FOOTBALL: I have played several positions of football over the last 6 years OLB, DE, special teams, kicker, punter and for the last 3 years TE for Varsity and JV, Cassville Wildcats are an 85% running team so my main job at TE is blocking.  We average 200 + yards on the ground per game.  I don't have gaudy stats because of the running game.  I have been at this skilled position for the last 24 games and I pride myself not letting the DL through.  and yes I have hands...

Cassville takes down state ranked Monett Mo. 27 - 0

Taran-Holt #80 At the TE position I believe this was my toughest contest this season.
I had to block Monett’s OL/DL #77 6’4” 215 lb Beau Bounous. Not an easy task,
A job that had to be done none the less. At the end of the contest the wildcats prevail, 27 to 0

Cassville wildcats inprove to 7 and 1 on the year ( 5 and 0 big 8)

And now my sights are on state ranked Seneca. This game could determine the big 8 champion, and a playoff birth.  shout out to all my teammates and coaches. Lets all work hard this week.
