What a weekend.  We beat Carmel 92 Academy in the State Semi-Finals and then lost to Dynamo in the State Championship game.  We had 11 players for both games due to injury and in the championship game had to play with 10 for about 10 minutes due to another injury.  The weather was HOT, HOT, and more HOT.  We really played well as a team. 

Overall we had a great season.

Well, we are having a good season so far.  We lost 2 players to injury for the season and this season I am playing out of position in the back line as an outside back.  What a change from my natural center mid position and so far it is working out. In the past 11 games we are 9-1-1 with 9 shutouts and 22-5-2 overall.  We have also played a strong schedule against some other state champs and moved the ball well as a team. 

We advanced through our bracket in the State Cup prelim's and will now go to Evansville for the Semi Finals & Finals.  That is June 6 & 7. 

I recently was selected to participate in a High School College Combine that brought together the top 50 High School, non-committed soccer athletes in the area, placed them on teams that participated together in 1 day of team training, and 1 day of regulation 11 v 11 games.  These 3 games were played on a full regulation sized indoor field while Division I, II, III and NAIA coaches observed.

At the end of the 2 days, the coaches were asked to select the top 11 players out of the 50 that were involved in the combine.  I am proud to report that I was selected as one of those outstanding 11 players.
