Our team won the regular season championship and the team tournament championship for our conference. We had 5 set Varsity players so I played 5 Varsity matches this year. I played 3 Varsity B/JV (counted in JV avg) matches at regulation yardage and 12 JV matches.
JV scoring average was 44 - lowest for JV and Varsity Avg was 53
I really have to get more yardage and hit the ball better from the tee. I had a hard time getting to any greens in regulation because my tee shots were not very strong. I am happy I played a little better with the varsity and that I played all the JV matches.
I didnt play in the conference championshps I was #7 on the list. So I plan on continuing to work on my swing and to get my tee shots to match my short game. I made a mistake by not taking Golf/PE this year so I will have to keep practicing after school and on weekends.
I will also be playing in the junior tournaments and will post my scores. |

I have to enter in my scores I got so busy and fell behind in posting them. As soon as I can get them together I will post them.
Our varsity team won our league and starts the team championships this week. We have a really good team. |

Sept 28 - JV Match - 41 at Emerald Isle
Sept 29 - JV Match - 44 at La Costa North
Oct 1 - JV Match - 39 at Lake San Marcos
Need to make a much bigger improvement....school is going well. I am keeping up with my homework assignments after golf. Our Varsity team beat 3 of the top teams in North County in the last 2 weeks :) |

Busy week at school and with golf on the JV team
Sept 21 - shot 45 on La Costa North - don't have the exact yardage since it was set up for JV players. Made 3 pars...had two horrible holes.
Sept 22 - shot 34 on front nine at Lake San Marcos Exec. 5 pars.
Sept 24 - shot 42 on La Costa North - 3 pars and only one double - and 5 bogeys.
Helped the Peer Leader group at Back to School night on Tuesday after playing our match. Long day with homework.
Next week we have 3 matches (maybe 4). Our Varsity team is doing great. |

| Shot 48 and had 3 pars but a triple bogey on the first hole. I am really working on shortening my back swing and keeping my left arm straight on the take away. I did ok today. I am playing varsity again tomorrow at La Costa. |

We played a Varsity B match - full Varsity credit with players who rotate up to Varsity and also play JV matches.
We played at The Vineyard in Escondido and our team won.
I played pretty good and shot 48 with 3 straight pars on holes 3-5. The yardage was 2415 and we played from the red tees.
This was my best varsity score :) counting last year too.
I know I can play better!! I was happy with things and really mad at myself for missed shots. I am off to practice all weekend. We have a busy schedule next week! |

I played with one my teammates for fun and to work on my grip. I played bogey golf with a 25 ft birdie on 18. I hit some really bad shots and some good shots. I had a fun time!
I do not yet know my schedule for HS golf as the season starts next week but I am not on the Varsity Six for this one. I am going to practice again this week an d weekend. |

Played 9 holes today with 16 putts, 3 pars...but had two really bad holes.
I found out that our team has over 20 Varsity matches and I am scheduled to play 10 - 12 plus Varsity B and JV matches.
I am playing a tournament Sunday but it's on a longer exec. course for fun. |
