Giles Playing Street This Year

James Giles announced today that he will not be playing college basketball this year. He planned to play at a local junior college, but the coach informed him that he "already had his team" and was only having tryouts to say he did. James says, "It's their loss. I averaged almost 31 points per game last year, and I know I'd be on that team if I was given a fair look." He has decided to start looking for next year in advance. It could be difficult getting a scholarship when he's not playing college this year, but his daily workouts are definately college level. I'll let you know what happens.

James Giles Voted MVP In Championship Victory.

Senior James Giles was voted MVP after leading his team to victory in a regional 3-on-3 tournament last Friday. He was hot all night, shooting about 80% from behind the arc. Throghout his 8 tournament games, he made over 50 3-pointers, and had several phenominal dunks. In the championship game, he made a go-ahead 3 with little time left on the clock. He then tipped his opponents shot, and dribbled through a double team. With 10 seconds left and a 1 point lead, he began quickly changing directions and spinning while dribbling. His defender fell on the ground, and James drove the lane and dunked right as the buzzer sounded. James will be playing again in the TBAC All-Star game on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted.

High School Senior Looking For College!

Hello coach. My name is James Giles. I'm 6'5", 175 lbs., and I play basketball for Temple Baptist School in Fort Worth, Texas. My basketball team is good, (We only lost 1 game and are headed for the championship) but we play in a private/Christian school league that is not scouted. I'm the team captain, and I'm averaging 30.6 points, 22.9 rebounds, 14.4 blocks, 5.1 assissts, and 4.7 steals. I'm shooting 75% on my field goals, and 96% on my free throws. My first three years of high school, I played for a larger team in California; and I led them to the championship the last two years in a row. I continued the streak this year by leading my team here in Texas to the championship.(The championship game is on Monday) I've also won multiple street ball tournaments in California, Texas, Minnasota, and Louisiana. I hope to be a professional basketball player, and I need a good coach and a good college to point me in the right direction. Feel free to call me at (951)-294-8713. Thank you.

TBS Swordsmen Undefeated Football Champons!

Have you ever heard of Temple Baptist School in Fort Worth, Texas? Probably not. They play in a small private/Christian school league that doesn't draw much attention from scouts. However, they have an amazing athletic program this year. The football team was undefeated "State Champions" in the league this year. Regardless of the level of play, the Swordsmen keep the crowd roaring with incredible plays. For instance the time WR James Giles got a pitch in the backfield and spun his way down the sideline for an 80 yd. touchdown. Or when QB Jason Engelman had his pass tipped, and he caught it himself and ran it down the field for a touchdown. The Swordsmen are having the dream season as their football team was undefeated, and their basketball team is heading to the championship with only one loss. We're just trying to "win it for all the little schools."(Hoosiers)
