| Well, I had a tryout for the green bay gladiators which was a another semi pro team but they play from may til july. I made the team as a back up QB and K. The starting QB is really good and then of the other 3 QB's I have the best arm, just need a lot of work on my reads. It will be good to have kicking stats for other schools to see. When I say I can hit a 50+ yard field goal, its nice when I can show them the stat too. I am just worried it will be too late in June or so to try and get a bigger school. I was contacted by a small school in kansas and plan to go there if a bigger school wont take a chance on my kicking. That school said they can help financial with football and soccer so that was pretty awesome and pretty much sealed the deal for me, unless of course a big school comes along soon. Ill be heading out to visit that school in kansas most likely over my spring break. its a 10.5 hour drive. fun fun. ill blog again in a month or so after a couple of practices with the gladiators. O yea, the NEW Storm is out of course because that season was in fall. til next time. |

I have had a school in Kansas contact me about kicking which was awesome. my semi pro mini camp went great. it was indoors but i got to kick in the gym and I was nailing them. suprisingly i was the only one there with QB experience and I looked pretty good throwing the ball on offense too. I guess its always good when the ball is whistling and your hitting your recievers lol. I had a lot of fun with that and looks like I could make a good Back up or with some game experience maybe a decent starter. I wont have to punt for the North Eastern Wisconsin Storm. I could but Id rather focus on field goals for now. I have another camp on Dec. 22 so Ill blog again after that. the only problem with my semi pro team is they are looking to play in fall. Ill try out for the green bay gladiators for kicking in spring and if no school contacts me for next fall that I am interested in, then ill get a chance to play Kicker and maybe some QB too. well, until next time....

I will be kicking for a semi pro team (NEW Storm) if I can't find a school that wants me. Its 30 degrees here and i can hit from 50 with no tee. It will be my first year with the Storm which is a new team for next year. I didn't know I could hit field goals like I can until a month ago when someone made a joke about it because I could kick almost 3/4 of a soccer field on goal kicks in soccer. I took free kicks in soccer too because of my accuracy. That also helped. I am just praying that someone will give me a chance, because that coach will be glad he did. Ill keep blogging on how the semi pro mini camp goes this saturday. |
