I am a 5'10 142 lb female three sport athlete (being recruited in all three) that is looking for a school that I can play vb and run track and field and be a heptathlete. I am being recruited by numerous DI schools for track and field, however with DI vb being a head count sport, maybe DII would be a better choice. I come from a very poor hs program and get stuck anchoring relays so my marks are not as good as they could be. I hardly ever get to work or compete in my own events. 100-12.66, 200-26.82, 400-60.81, long jump 17-11.76, tj 36-11, jav 110 (only thrown once off of three steps). HJ 5-4.
I have been on varsity since the 7th grade and qualified and placed in state every year.
My parents are the track coaches at North Dakota State, I love them dearly but maybe being at track practice with them every day is not the best idea.
I learned the hurdles this year. They came very easy for me both of my parents were hurdlers.
I think my most potential is in the javelin. I have only thrown one time in a meet, off of three steps and threw 110. They say the technique of a vb hitter is similar to that in vb. I know that with some work I could throw over 150. I am tall and strong (I hold most of the weight room records for my weight). I am very athletic, a hard worker and very motivated! |

I am an OH from Fargo, ND. Not exactly vb country, yeah I know. I played club vb in Minneapolis this past spring- 3 hours one way. It was awesome and totally worth the time, travel and commitment. I just returned from the Adams State vb camp in Alamosa, Co. Wow the camp was awesome! I loved the coach, loved playing with the Adams State team and got along great with the incoming recruits. I roomed with two girls from Colorado and one from California. Yeah they thought I was a hick and teased me about my accent, but they were great!
We drove all night to get back to Fargo, now I am at the North Dakota State team camp with my high school team. 24/7 vb I love it! |
