Davidson’s Delvin Powell enters his second season as a varsity coach with a team filled with experience.

The top scorer (Reginald Jones, 15.2 ppg), leading rebounder (Cody McAboy, 7 rpg) and top shot-blocker (Darius O’Cain, 3 bpg) return this season. In total, the roster includes seven seniors and a junior who have extensive playing experience, including 6-foot-4 O’Cain and 6-foot-3 Jabrian Niles.

“Last year, we had only two players on the team that actually had varsity experience.”  Powell said.

This year we have eight returning players.

…”These guys played a substantial amount of minutes on the varsity level and they understand our system and their role on the team.”


The Davidson Warriors open their 2009 - 2010 season Wednesday November 11th at McGill Toolen Catholic Highschool.
