Everyone Gets Knocked Down But Only A Champion Gets Back Up

So last night around 5.25 the worst thing could have happened right before OFSAA xc on saturday. I was riding my road bike to xc practice and this lady was stopped at the lights waiting to make a left turn and she didnt see me and struck me from the side with her car. i flew off my bike and hit the ground landing on my side then banging my head. i was lucky to be wearing a helmet which the paramedics said saved my life and prevented me from having brain damage. They brought me to the hospital in a ambulance and took a x-ray i luckly only have a bruised kidney and maybe some internal bleeding in the kidney. The doctor told me not to run on saturday. But i told him that it was impossible for me not to run i would have to be dead for me not to run this saturday. He said that it probably wont get any worse but it is going to hurt alot in the race. I am just trying to think positive in this whole situation and when it comes down to it you race with your heart and your mind and i know those two things are way stronger then my kidney so i will be able to still have a good race hopefully. And finish the race with a great result like none of this ever happened. It was just the matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time 2 seconds earlier or later and i would have been clear of this idiot who hit me but shit happens in life and you just have to suck it up and move on. The thing that i can be greatful hear is that i was wearing a helmet and there was no more damage then there already is.
