Sophomore Arizona Fall Classic

I finished playing in the tournament today. Compared to my last pitching appearance last week I did very well. I pitched two innings on Saturday and had good stuff.

My sinker is becoming a pitch I like more and more. I am able to turn the ball over and get a lot of downward movement on it.  The sinker also has alot of inward run on a righty. This is a pitch that gets guys swinging over the top of it or hitting weak groundballs. I'm still trying to get a better feel for my changeup, but its coming along. My CB is getting more of a straight downward turn as I'm learning to get better control of it. This is probably my best pitch now, which I try not to overthrow.

I am going to give my arm a break for November and most of December. I have been pitching and throwing for several years without a break. I have no arm problems at all, but my pitching coach Ryan Henderson has advised me that I should rest my arm and focus on conditioning so I can start the high school season off strong. I will spend this time off working out and increasing my overall body strength.
