GREELEY — Platte Valley shut out University 51-0 in a Class 2A Patriot League matchup on Saturday.

The Broncos (6-0, 8-1) were led defensively by junior strong safety Kilian Solars and senior middle linebacker Aaron Olson, and offensively by senior quarterback Jordan Smith, who ran for 123 yards on 12 carries. Smith ran for three touchdowns and passed for two.

University fell to 2-4 in league and 2-7 overall.

Platte Valley takes on Weld Central next week. If the Broncos win, they will clinch the Patriot League title. A Weld Central win will result in a three-way tie between Weld Central, Platte Valley and Brush.
