The 2009 season marks the Ligonier Valley Mounties' 1st playoff appearance since the 2007 season, where the Mounties went undefeated during the regular season. With a 26-7 win over the Northern Cambria Colts and a loss by the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers to the Chestnut Ridge Lions, the Mounties will go into week 10 with assurance. Their next game is against the Cougars of North Star at Weller Field.
