Last night, we had our first scrimmage against Patrick Henry! We came out on top with a 9-0 win. Our hitting was just great! We executed very well, got our bunts down, hit when we needed to and drove in runs when runners were on. Our defense was also very solid. We backed our pitchers up and didn't let anyting by us! Over all, it was a very successful day for us!
During the scrimmage, I hit in the numbr 5 spot and started at 3rd base. In hitting, I went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's. My first at bat there was a runner on 3rd so I hit a grounder right to the 2nd basemen. I got out but drove the run in. My second at bat, no one was on, I hit a hard line drive to right field and got on. My third at bat, another runner one 3rd, I hit right up the middle to center field, drove the runner in and picked up another single. Defensively, I played 3rd base for 5 innings not letting anything through me, then in the last 2 innings I got switch to shortstop, not letting anything by me. I had a very good game.
