I was chosen to be on one of the teams for the softball tournament in Hawaii. I am currently trying to get into a large college and so I do not have the money to go to Hawaii. I'm sure it would have been a great opportunity. So, it's not the fact that I don't love softball enough to go, it's that I can't afford it. I adore the sport and have been playing since I was 6.

I wish you could go, it would have been awesome to meet you and play softball together. I understand about the money situation, almost 4 thousand dollars is a lot! I wish you the best with college though, and I will definitely let you know how it all goes!
Try and get sponsors. I also cannot afford it but I have been going around to business and raised almost 2,000 dollars. If you really want to go, it can be done whether you have the money or not.
