I had a pretty decent meet. I swam at IUPUI at the megazones championships representing Team Illinois, who swept the meet by 3,000 points.
Thursday I swam the 100 Breast and got a best time going 1:11.43 making consolation final and the 100 fly in 1:02.60 by dropping half a second. I swam a little slow in the finals of the breaststroke.
Friday was the worst day of the meet when I swam the 200 IM in a 2:19 high which was a couple seconds slower, but I did not make it back for finals so I ended the session by swimming on Illinois's "B" 200 free relay which I splitted an unofficial 25.5.
Saturday was better when I dropped 2.5 seconds in the 200 Breast (2:36.47) and dropping a tenth in the 200 Fly (2:18.04). I swam both in the consolation finals that night and went slower.
Sunday I swam the 400 IM in a 4:56 which was 3 seconds slower, but after scratches made it back in the top 8 for finals, then I swam the breast on Illinois's "B" 200 Medley relay splitting a 33.27. I ended up taking 8th in the 400 IM going about the same time as prelims. Then I stayed afterwards to help Illinois received the first prize award.
For now I have no more meets until October. I am looking forward to being a senior this year and swimming even faster. |
