| Hey, I've grown an inch since my last post im 6'2" and well 160 pounds right now i lost some weight this summer. I'm going to get some personal help this weight lifting season and hopefully by spring golf i could add a good 25 to 30 pounds. It is a big jump and I'll really have to work hard, but i think im capable. That's one of my faults of my golf game is power. Which really I'm not complaining cause when i just play my game I can just as easily score the same or not better than the people I play. I'm no longer taking lessons from Doug Shultz now I'm taking lessons from Melea Raveling (heres a link to her bio http://www.lakecreekgolf.com/services.php ) and coaches you can contact her about my game , because i plan on taking lessons from her for hopefully the rest of my high school career. If the wallet can handle it lol. Well I have to say my game has improved greatly. I notice in my last post my avg. score was a 45. My sophmore year was a 43. So two stroke difference nothing big, but I am going to shoot for a 39 avg. Its a high goal but I've been shooting high thirties and low forties consistently. I love it. I still have alot to work on I believe, but i work really really hard on the golf course. (you could contact anyone from my local course to find out) I'm basically there from sunrise to sunset. I believe I have played with all the kids out on the course and all the adults as well as the 70+ guys. I love the game cause all ages can play it and its a challenge at any age no matter if you are pro or not. I also love competition. I was told today i like this quote that "You don't try and play someone else's game. You play yours." That's definitly true and than right after that quote i shot a nice 38 and at our course that is very very nice. I do invite anyone to come play at the Cherokee Country Club in Cherokee, Iowa. Just email me at gapkid200@hotmail.com and ill be more than happy to play with you. Hint: i don't believe you will ever have an even lie lol. Well again, I see a lot of other players doing this, but hey im a very hard working player, very motivated/determined to do well. I would really love to play college golf. Oh and if you have scholarships out there. I would also really like that. Until next time, I'll be sure to remember not to wait a whole year to post whats all new. |
