Just returned from rowing and studying abroad in Norway! I must say that it was an experience of a lifetime. Not only was I able to learn more about another European country, but I also had the chance to meet some amazing and unforgetable people. Choosing to go there was one of the best things I have ever done. It really made me realize how much I love being around rowers. They are definitely some of the kindest people regardless of where you go. Living in Norway for three months also allowed me to learn about many other cultures (I went to a school for immigrants). After talking to my newfound friends I have decided that I want nothing more but to study some kind of International Studies such as International Development or Global Health. As for now I am simply enjoying spending time with my family and getting ready to start a new school (looking forward to rowing is what's been getting me through). Even though I miss both Italy and Norway, I have to say that I do not miss the feeling of loneliness staying behind to row in Italy gave me. So after nine months of living "on my own" in Italy and Norway, it is extremely refreshing to be surrounded by people who fully understand me.
