YAKIMA -- Remembering the last time Eisenhower soccer defeated rival Davis is hard for coaches on both sides.

Many of the Cadets claimed Tuesday's 2-1
victory at Davis Field was the program's first against its crosstown
rivals in six seasons.

Eisenhower used two Davis defensive miscues in
the first half to score and take a 2-0 lead at halftime that it never
relinquished

Gerald Mendoza and Sabdi Palma scored the
unassisted goals about 19 minutes apart, and the Cadets needed both.
Davis finally solved Ramos in the 56th minute on Walter Manriquez's
goal, setting up quite a few tense moments down the stretch.

First half: 1, Eisenhower, Gerald Mendoza, 20:00;
2, Eisenhower, Sabdi Palma, 39:00.

Second half: 3, Davis, Walter Manriquez, 56:00
