Delray Beach, FL, was picture perfect on 07/19 and 07/20.  On Saturday, we competed in the Zephyrhills Dig the Beach tournament in Women's AAA and tied for 3rd place once again.  Not bad for a 16 year old and a partner that just turned 17.

On Sunday, we were excited about this particular tournament.  It was the 2008 USA Volleyball Florida Region Junior State Championship tournament.  Having been undefeated so far this season on the Junior circuit, we wanted to win this one for sure.  For the final match we were excited to play on center court, normally reserved for the open division players.  Final score 21 - 8.  My 7th gold medal for the season and counting.  

This tournament also marked the 6th stop on the Zephyrhills Dig the Beach tournament series for Juniors.  Coming in first place not only made us the 2008 USA Volleyball FL Region Champions but also made us the 2008 Series Champions.  Double the excitement, double the fun.

Next stop, Huntington Beach, California, for the USAV Youth National Beach Tour Championships on 08/16.  We will keep you posted.
