NIAGARA UNIVERSITY ACHA RECRUITING UPDATE July 24th, 2008

It is hard to believe that the boys will back to campus in a few short weeks.
Where does the summer go?

In between some golf and taking a few weeks off, its time to start thinking about the upcoming season.

Last year we finished #17 in the country. We were at one point as high as #14 (out of 58).

The coaching staff's mission this off-season was to fill some voids and add some toughness. We feel that we have done that and are tremendously excited about the upcoming season.

Some valuable additions added for this season through recruiting are
Trevor Kenney(Dixie Beehives, OPJHL Jr. A), Mike Saya (Bridgton Acamdey/ Oswego Adimrals OPJHL Jr. A),TJ Popovich (Tri State Selects MJHL Jr B.), Tom Peffall (Philly Thunder UJHL Jr. A), Will Rinaldi (GMHL Jr. A) as well as some great "home town" talent.

We spent the better part of 8 months scouring the country (and Canada) looking for players who we believe will help us attain our goal of being a Top 12 team in the nation.

With a great core of returning players and this very strong recruiting class there is a buzz on campus and through out the rink.

This upcoming season we are traveling close to 8,000 miles. With trips to Arizona State University, Chicago, Athens, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Maryland, and Syracuse the team is going to be road warriors.

We are up to the task. As a new season starts it is time once again t o begin preparing for the 2009 Recruiting Class!
