After the State Combine on June 30th, I was selected as one of two goalkeepers for the Illinois O.D.P. State Team (Boys 1991).
Today, I just returned from the U.S.Y.S.A. Region II Tournament / Camp that was held in Rockford, Illinois from July 18th through the 20th.
The Illinois O.D.P. State Team (Boys 1991) won the tournament!!! On the way to the championship we defeated Ohio-North, Minnesota, Kentucky and Michigan. I played in three of the four games, without allowing a goal. It was quite an experience to play in the tournament against other state O.D.P. teams. The level of the competition was great.
For the rest of the summer I will continue preparing for the Fall 2008 season at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Illinois. In addition to working out regularly, I have small group training and goalkeeper specific training coming up.
