This past weekend I attended a campf or High School Hockey players in Michigan. Some players talented others just average. In 4 games I allowed a total of 6 goals. The third game I managed a shutout and the fourth game I allowed 1 goal in the last .9 of a second. Kind of a bummer I know. Anyway, 4 NHL scouts scouted out the teams and handed us an evaluation at the end of the camp (being yesterday July 13th 2008) and to my liking I got a very good evaluation. My scout was of the Columbus BLue Jackets and he states : "Strenghs"- -"Good job of challenging shoots, cutting down the angles"
-"Very good lateral movement, post to post and side to side is quick"
-"Uses his size to allow pucks to hit him"
-"Has a very good glove hand"
"Developmental areas" -"Needs to stay up on his feet" (I tend to go down mor ethan I should but that's being worked on)
-"Work on puck handling behind net" (again last years team we didn't work on that at all so I need to work on that for sure)
-"Rebound Control"( And I am usually very good at where I put the puck after the shot but this weekend I did struggle somewhat in the first 2 games the alst to I imporoved).
So overall I thought it was a success and thanks alot to the Scout Andrew Shaw of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
