Hey.

This summer I took the ACT's and SAT's.  I received okay scores; standardized testing is not my strong point.  I have been working very hard this summer on my fitness and soccer skills.  I've been training by myself, with my school, and with a trainer.  My weekly workouts are generally like the one listed below with a few exceptions.  Also I will be participating in Flathead Soccer Camp July 21 through August 1.

*Ab workout of 600-750 reps every day

Sunday
-9am:  run (30 min- hour)
Monday
-7am:  workout at FHS (I lift with all guys and then I go run sprints with guys.  Great fun since I love competition.)
-1pm:  juggling/first touch
Tuesday
-7am:  FHS workout (plyos, lifting, sprints)
-12pm:  passing
-6pm:  Soccer scrimmage with teammates
Wednesday
-train with Marcus (trainer for soccer...)
-8am:  run (30min-hour)
7pm:  shooting
Thursday
-7am:  FHS workout (same as Monday but different lifts)
-12pm:  dribbling
-6pm:  Scrimmage with teammates
Friday
-9am:  run (30-60mins)
-3pm:  work on all elements of soccer (juggling, first touch, passing, etc....)
Saturday
-9am:  upper body workout

My fitness base is pretty good at the moment and I am working on my long distance endurance.  I ran an hour today and I felt pretty good.  I'm working on lengthening my strides to cover more ground.  Soccer wise I'm improving quite quickly.  I'm taking people on and usually succeeding, my shots are more accurate and stronger, my first touch is always within a yard (and improving), and my passing is quite accurate most of the time.  One aspect I'm working on is my heading.  I'm not afraid of the ball or anything, but I'm having issues getting to higher balls.  Therefore I am working on my vertical jump which I hope to get in the twenties within 6 wks.  At lifting I am squating 225 lbs, max benching 105 lbs, I can now actually do a pull up (I'm proud of that lol), and my other exercises are in top form.  Since I'm almost always the only girl at the school workout I end up pushing myself to be stronger, better, and faster.  I'm not going to let those guys think that they can beat me.  Sprints wise I'm usually in the last four.  But being in the last four means I'm running 100meters in about 12-14 seconds.  We lift and then we go to the track.  I run to the track and everyone else drives lol  It's about half a mile to the track.  At the track last week we ran four 200meters with 30 seconds of rest in between.  Next we ran eight 100m sprints with a rest time of 45sec-min.  Afterwards I jog back to the school and stretch.

When I train with Marcus we work on different aspects each time and I work on it throughout the wk.  Because it is expensive I usually only train with him once a week.  Each session we choose an aspect to focus on.  Last week it was receiving the ball across your body and taking a touch and shot or shooting one touch.  We did that with bouncing balls, half volleys, and volleys.  The week before last we worked on kicking bending kick with the inside, top, and outside of each foot.  Those are a couple of examples of what we do each session.
