This past weekend was ASA Metro's here in the Kansas City area. In pool play we went 1-1 giving up only 2 runs. That was enough to give us the #1 seed in our pool. On Saturday night we faced the Predators in our first bracket game. We won 12-1. I had a bases loaded, 2 RBI hit, off the bench for my only at bat in the game.
The following day we faced the Elite in the semi-finals. A 4-1 victory where I had a nice base hit up the middle.
Then on to the Championship game where we faced the Originals and Sarah Baldwin on the mound. Sarah and I go way back to 12U when we both played for the 93 Olathe Rockets. We lost this game 7-0. Sarah was "on" pretty much the entire game game, giving up only 2 hits. I had 2 at bats against her and flew out to "Center" both times. Which is not bad considering she is one of the hardest hurlers around. Congrats to the Originals.. this time!!
