Today's player to watch is Alyssa Sirocchi out of Oak Creek, Wisc.
Alyssa Sirocchi
Sirocchi has been a standout player for quite some time. In 2006 she played on a club team that won 5 of 6 tournaments throughout Midwest including the ASA Class A 14U Wisconsin State Championship.
In 2007 she made the Varsity team at Oak Creek High School and was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team as a third baseman. Her club team, the Competitors, finished 17 out of 50 teams at Northern Nationals.
In 2008 she was one of 50 girls chosen to represent Wisconsin in the 2008 Midwest Fastpitch Showcase August 21-22. She started on her Varsity team as a pitcher her sophomore year.
The class of 2010 graduate had an impressive year in 2007 batting .367 with an on base percentage of .450 and a slugging percentage of .480. As a pitcher she was 20 and 10 with a 1.86 ERA.
Sirocchi not only excels on the ball field, she lettered in band at her high school and received the State Flute Duet Highest Rating of 1 in 2007. She also has been on the honor roll and played volleyball at her high school!
