Hello, my name is Ashley Welsh and I am going to be a junior in the 2008-2009 school year. I live in a small town in New Jersey called Palmyra. I want to play college soccer for a really good school, but the major I want some schools don't offer. My major I want is in Physical Therapy. Another thing that is a problem is the fact that I have had three previous major injuries. In 2005 I tore my right ACl, then in 2006 I tore my left ACL (both ACL injuries were reconstructed by Dr. Paul A. Marchetto). Also in 2006 I broke my jaw in two places at a U.K Elite camp while trying to dive to stop a ball from going into the goal. These injuries might prevent me from getting a scholarship because as my one teacher puts it im "damaged goods." I also do not have the highest GPA right now, but it is not really low. It is a 2.9 unfortunately. Aside from the injuries I play more than one position. I play right or left forward if I am not in the Net, but I also play midfield and some defense ( which i prefer not to play)But I ill play whatever osition my coach tells me to play, without arguement. Oh, and one more thing, I am only 5'3", but i can jump to the crossbar and touch it and I can also get down on the ground to get the ball or to dive.
