After a few long nerve racking days over a controversial score on the last hole my school got invited to the Provincials (State) Championships! The Provincials are being held in Nelson at Granite Pointe Golf Club. This is the first time in 11 years for my school to go to Provincials. There is a good team at my school this year and our goal is to place in the top half of all the teams. Not only is there a team competition for all the schools but there is an individual low gross. In this year's Provincials there are a handful of very skilled golfers. I hope to place in the top 5 and maybe win the low gross. My team will competing for 3 days. The first day is the practice round, banquet, and pictures and the 2nd and 3rd days are where the competition takes place. The Provincials will take place on May 26-28.
