I know....this is pretty funny. So here's the story of Power 5 this year in the RMR region tournaments. So we were winning and having a great day. We ended up in 1st place but that wasn't the fun part of the day. Everyone says, "Kirsten, even though your a setter, you're so tall, you should jump and block!"....especially my MOM. So, somehow she still doesn't get it that when I'm in the back row rotation that I can't block! But, she still wants me to jump. So in the last match of the day...for first place, she put a challenge out on the table. For every successful block, I get 1 T-shirt of my choice (silly woman set no price limit). So what did Kirsten do? Kirsten BLOCKED!!!! I know it's silly motivation but, I had to prove a point. And, to top it off, we came in first place for the day!!!
I'm a fighter and love a challege......it can be dinner at Outback, shirts, Chicken Nuggets or any other variety of good things that can be a great bonus of a Mom that loves to use very interesting ways to make her daughter happy while she's playing volleyball!!! It was fun and was a great day!
