I found out a couple of weeks ago that I had been nominated for a Diablo Excellence Certificate in the Mathematics Department at Mission Viejo High School. Well, tonight (April 22nd) I found out that I received both the Certificate and the Departmental Medallion for Mathematics. Woo Hoo! Here's what they wrote and said at the ceremony:

"David is a junior in IB Mathematics, an honors course attended predominately by seniors and aimed at preparation for the IB Mathematics examination. Of the nearly 100 students enrolled in IB Mathematics in semester 1, David ranked fourth, behind three outstanding seniors. David currently has a grade of A+ in semester 2 in IB Math. David has played football for two years at MVHS, and currently is on the Varsity Track and Lacrosse Team, in addition to the challenging academic program that he follows."
