I love playing volleyball and have been playing since I was in 5th grade. My first overhand serve was that year. I was mad at my mom (who was my coach) and just killed the ball. I have been acing serves ever since. Back then, no one wanted to be the setter! They all wanted to hit. So, I started setting and never stopped.
I love to control the game and make the best use of my hitters. I try my hardest to fully understand each players best skills so that I can maximize our teams offense. As a tall setter, I can also block and even hit when the opportunity arises. A couple of coaches have tried over the years to get me to play outside or middle because of my hitting strength but, I love to set.
As your setter, I could offer you consistent accuracy. That is my best skill. I can get that ball where it needs to go every time no matter where it comes to me from!! I can do any kind of quick set and all the classics as well. I have been called Stoic on occasion because of my strong, stern leadership when it comes to playing. I also have my fun sarcastic, dry sense of humor that can be very helpful too! I am not the typical bouncy player but, I am incredibly strong and have the desire to make my team win!
We've finished out our season with a 10 to 2 win/loss record. It was an outstanding end to the season and Im looking forward to the new challenges that the next club season will bring!!!
