BACKGROUND Anthony Bondarenko is a senior at Pembroke Pines Charter High School and he is currently a varsity baseball player with the Jaguars, coached by Coach Carlos Iglesias and Assistant Coaches Andy Moser, Alex Carrio and Oscar Alarcon. Anthony also plays for the Team Dynasty Mudcats, Travel Baseball team, coached by Noel Figueroa (Batting coach at Flanagan High School, Pembroke Pines, Florida, which won two consecutive state championships) and Assistant Coach Javier Vazquez. Anthony has competed in travel baseball since the age of 9 years old, playing competetive baseball with the West Pines Cobras, coached by Coach Joe Brady and Coach Mitch Hiechen. Anthony has also been coached by Coach Gary Nixon, a former Cobras coach and head instructor at 3-D Baseball. The Cobras won several competitive championships which include the Little League District Championship and they placed second at Cooperstown Dream Park Tournament, July 2002. The Cobras won the South Florida Travel League Championship 14U Division and the Nationals in North Carolina 14U Division in 2004. Anthony has competed in the Perfect Game Wood Bat Tournaments in Florida, Georgia and the Blue-Grey Underclassman Showcases. The Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars is a very competative high school baseball team which was runner up in the district championships for the past two years. The Team Dynasty Mudcats placed in top seeds of every tournament the team competed since the 2006 summer season. Anthony Bondarenko is a hard worker, a strong pitcher and outfielder with a fastball that tops out at 88 mph. |
