On Sunday March 2, along with my teammates, I particpated in the East Cobb Cobras Youth Instructional Clinic at Macedonia, GA. Elementary School. This was the 4th camp in 3 years at which I have been an instructor - it is very satisfying to spend time with the young girls that love or are beginning to love softball as I do. It is fun to watch the excitement in their eyes as they learn new techniques and information that they find helps them to become better ballplayers. I think the clinic helps me as well - to understand that there is always something to be learned about softball and that it takes work to be a better ballplayer. It also shows me that if I don't work hard, there are many girls behind me that would love some of the opportunities that I have. I can see why coaching and teaching is such a great career and loved by those that do it.
