FRIDAY'S MAT-SU HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL SCORES

Moose score road win over Knights

Palmer rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to spoil senior night for the Knights, which dropped only their second NLC game this season.

Senior Geneva Ratcliff led all scorers with 18 points for the Moose, which made six of seven free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Palmer got solid play down low from both Ratcliff and Ashley Swetzof, who had ten points and pulled down 15 rebounds.

Colony front court players were also solid underneath, with forwards Alex Coon (15 points) and Kara Larson (10 points) leading the way. The Knights also got eight points from Allie Grazulis, seven from Tara Garrod and three from Maria Bowker.

Jamie Cox finished with nine points for Palmer, sister Matti Cox had six, Mikaela Bolling added four and Kelsey Campbell had one. Bolling and Swetzof were both perfect from the free-throw line in the final eight minutes of the game.
