Well I stopped by the University of Saint Marys, last night. Didn't know what to expect but I must say that I really liked the coaches. My Dad got a chance to speak to Coach Hinson and Coach Rustin. I also got to meet a few of the players. The one thing that we were impressed with is the sense of family that was shown between the players and also the players and coaches. My only thing is that the school sits right in my hometown. I really wanted to try life away from the house. Not, saying that I can't do this because I feel that I could really be a beast here and in their conference. The coach is also connected at the next level with the pro scouts. I have a few more places to visit and my phone is still ringing but I really was pleased with the way that I was accepted and also the enthusiasm that the staff seemed to have about me being there. I am not a very vocal person at first. My Dad calles me Mr. Personality but I warm up to people after being around. They said that I can come watch workouts. I also met the baseball coach. They said that they had no problem with me playing both sports. That made me very happy. I have a few schools that have already told me the same. To some extent, that is important to me. They also have been bringing in some good talent from all over the country. The head coach said that he wants to win...... So do I. I plan on leaving college with at least 3 rings. I have to get one each for my parents and then one for me. God Bless
William, I was considering visiting USM tomorrow and then William Jewell on Monday. I've been accepted to both. After much thought, I decided last night it was just to far from home(5 hours). I still need to contact them and let them know. My dad works on Saturdays and it would be nice to be somewhat close to home. I attended an open house at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, just 20 miles north of Springfield-you should look into it. The coach is new but comes with experience. He is a Christian man that will bring his faith onto the field-I like that. The facilities are very nice and it is a Div 2 school, several coaches have NFL experience. I also attended Central Methodist University's,20 miles outside of Columbia, open house and really liked all of their coaches, again the coach is new but open about his faith and will bring it on the field. He stressed it was faith, family, academics then athletics-in that order. I will have a hard time deciding between the two. Both colleges are looking for young men with character, morals, hard workers, then talent. Look into both of them and let me know what you think-They are both closer to home for me-but far enough away that I feel like I'm going off to college
