10/7/07- The Wissahickon Trojans (4-2) won a hard fought defensive battle on the road against Cheltenham  Saturday afternoon 6-0. Senior Steve Ahn and junior Matt Johnson secured the middle of the Trojan defense all day while senior Josan Holmes added superb run support from the defensive secondary. Wiss had three 4th down stops as Johnson had a key caused fumble at the 1 yard line preventing the Panthers from scoring. Wiss scored their only touchdown in the 3rd quarter when quarterback Josan Holmes threw a 44 yard touchdown pass to senior wingback Troy Green. The offensive controlled much of the clock running behind linemen Scott Biel, Wade Bailey, Cameron Russell, Matt Johnson, Tony Isabella, and David Kim. Senior tailback Vaughn Jacob clipped the 1000 yard mark for the season by gaining 111 yards on the ground. The Trojans will play their homecoming game this Friday night against visiting Upper Moreland.
