Yesterday I had two contacts from coaches expressing interest in me and wanting official visits. I'm still planning on sending a few more tapes/portfolios out. Does anyone know the time frame for college recruiters? When is the latest they make contact w/ athletes? At what time in the spring do you know whoever is interested has contacted you?
I'm still recovering from surgery a week ago. I had stiches out on Wednesday and will have the wire taken out next Wednesday. There is still some pain but is getting lighter. Tomorrow I will take my last ACT test and will hopefully bump my score up. I'd like to get one more point, then I'd really be into the merit scholarship money. I am also going to a football recruiting lunch/meeting in Springfield for CMU. I'm going through all doors and will see what happens.
One of the coaches that contacted this week(SBU) and said they wanted to recruite me I believe first got my name from a generated letter I sent him through berecruited several months ago. He emailed me back and expressed interest and then called wanting to get me up to watch a home game. I wasn't able to due to my football schedule. I'm sure he kept up with me and our team throughout the season. He called back last week saying they wanted to recruite me and wanted a game tape. My mom, my agent, has game tapes with a big portfolio of my stats along w/ personal info ie)copy of transcript, listing of all my activities, awards and extracurricular clubs and jobs(printed page from berecruited) ready to send out. I also have gone online and filled out Athletic Questionaires at college websites and have received responses from that. berecruited is great, but don't just reley on one thing, not all colleges belong to it. good luck
