I had to make a really tough decision recently. I decided to not play basketball my senior year. I've been playing since the 4th grade. I turned my ankle in my last football game and at Leavenworth, we are a running team. I knew that tryouts called for alot of running. I didn't want to have any excuses for Coach Hogan. If I was going to go out, I wanted to be 100%. I also had to be realistic. I may get a few JUCO offers in basketabll, but my future sports endeavors lie in baseball and football. I know that I can play those sports at the highest levels. I am being recruited in those two sports by some really good schools. Saying that, I am putting my time and efforts in the gym, on the field, and with one on one coaching. I am going out for the bowling team cause I am good at that also. It will also allow me to get a varsity letter in 4 sports while not taking away from my training. I also believe that I am good enough to go to State and maybe even win it. I am already getting bigger and stronger. My Dad and I are hitting the weights like beasts! I'm pulling the sled and about to get specialized coaching for baseball. But I will say that walking away from basketball was really a tough decision. I believe that LV will win State, this year, but I gotta do what I have to do, to get where I'm going.
Zach. Right now I am still struggling with that decision because I am being recruited in two sports. I also have to factor in the degree programs offered. I actually want to be a forensic scienist but not all schools offer that degree. If I choose one that doesn't, I have to look at their biology department and squeeze in pre-med. What about you?
Jacob, My dad is a video guy. I think he changes the dvd clips to windows media. We have a program called nero. I think that he uses that to do his cheap edits.
Oh yeah, Jacob,
The folks at St Marys are nice. They are in the building stages. I know one of the coaches. Good people. Never close any doors. Check em out and you decide if they will work for you. Let me know what you think after an unofficial visit.
